FAQ
DDP (Delivered Duty Paid):
With DDP, all duties and taxes are calculated and paid at checkout. This means your parcel is delivered with no extra fees on arrival—everything is handled upfront. It’s the most seamless option, as customs clearance is already taken care of before your order leaves us.
DUP (Duties Unpaid):
With DUP, the cost of duties and taxes is not included at checkout. Instead, your country’s customs office may charge you additional fees before delivery. These charges vary depending on your local laws and are your responsibility to pay directly to the courier or customs authority before you receive your parcel.
Our rates displayed at checkout are live rates. This means that our platform communicates directly with the carrier to display the exact cost of freight. We subsidise a part of your shipping costs to make these more manageable for you.
Duties & taxes are calculated based on your order value. Each country has its own import rules, which are completely out of our control. Our shipping platform automatically applies the correct taxes according to the regulations in your destination country.
We understand it feels higher at checkout, but this actually covers costs you’d have to pay later to customs anyway. Paying now means no surprise fees, no delays, and a smoother delivery for everyone.
Some countries charge tax and handling fees on all orders, even if they’re under the “tax-free threshold.”
- If you choose DDP (Delivered Duties Paid) shipping, these costs are already covered in your shipping price — no surprise bills at the door.
- If you choose DUP (Delivered Unpaid) shipping, you may still be charged these fees by your local customs office, though usually at a lower rate than if your order was over the threshold.
Disclaimer: Import thresholds and customs rules may change. The threshold amounts shown are based on current legislation as of 30/09/25. If your parcel is held or assessed differently by your country’s customs, additional duties may apply.
