21st Anniversary Sale Event

2011

Michelle started making Bridal and Summer collections from her home in Hawai'i. Our first informal runway was held at the Ala Moana Centre in Honolulu.

2015

Now back home in Australia, Michelle had been making her garments by hand as the business grew steadily on Etsy. In 2015 she began production with our makers in India. Going over twice a year to work closely with everyone in the factory. It had always been a dream of Michelle's to visit Paris, so she packed a suitcase full of her samples straight from India and found women on the streets of St Germain to photograph her first production collection.

2022

We had our first professional photoshoot in Melbourne. Since then we have photographed in the bustling streets of Delhi, the desert of Pushkar, the lakes in Udaipur, the 10,000 year old Sassi di Matera, the cliffs of Polignano a Mare and various beautiful places around Australia and the world.

2024

As of now, we have have seven wonderful staff members with customers and retailers throughout the world. We still work with the same makers and have expanded to other factories over the years. Michelle's plan was always to work from home while her children were in school. Although not planned the universe has provided once again and we moving into a warehouse the same year that her son finishes school. This means that for the first time in twenty years, Michelle will be able to have a home away from work and we can continue to expand without confinements.

Moving Forward

The Future

As we continue to grow, moving forward Michelle is creating a reality where she can be between India, Milan and Byron Bay focusing her time on designing, creativity and her life away from the day to day running of MegbyDesign thanks to our incredibly capable and amazing team. We have travelled to four countries for our working photoshoot holidays and continue to love every day.
